A fic that is inspired by the tale of Little Red Riding Hood as well as the song Lil' Red Riding Hood. "Even though everyone now called him Red Riding Hood. It wasn’t like he exactly minded the nickname, but when he went a whole day without hearing his name, only hearing people call him Red, or even Lil’ Red, he couldn’t quite wrap his mind around it. A lot of people knew him. He was kind of important to the cause. There was a revolution taking place and they couldn’t really afford to lose him. He knew that, but sometimes he just wished that he lived a normal life. A life without powers. Without a government agency wanting to take control of anything supernatural or anyone with powers. A life without werewolves and vampires."

Coffeeshop AU! Frank is a struggling (or maybe just thrifty) sole proprietor, and when he gets sick, he tries to keep the place open. Longtime customers and acquaintances-on-their-way-to-friendship Waybros are horrified, and Gerard gets Mikey to take over operations while he gets Frank tucked in and hydrated.

Mikey never wanted to save lives.

Mikey takes her boots off at the front door. The idea is so they won't make noise as she crosses the floorboards, but as soon as she eases them off, she gasps and knows there's no way she's going to be able to tiptoe. Fucking boots. Fucking Steve. Fucking...fuck.
