REKSEKHET
"Wise Powerful One"
Daughter of Set/Seth and Thoth/Djehuty, this neter is represented by a masculine female with the head of a spotted hyena. Atop her head is the lunar disk with a uraeus, and in her hands are the ankh and was-sceptre. She wears a feminine dress top with a masculine wrap-around skirt bottom, at the front of which the bulge of her enlarged clitoris can be seen.
Reksekhet is a rival to Sekhmet, true to their opposite natures as seen in the rivalry between lions and hyenas. Also similar to these animals: Sekhmet may be more powerful, but Reksekhet is more cunning. Despite their differences, they are both fierce defenders of Ma'at.
This trickster neter embodies the qualities of strength, tenacity, mischief, intellect, ambition, strategy, solidarity, leadership, sovereignty, deviance, and black magic.
Her most sacred animals are spotted hyenas and snakes, which she can also take the form of. Other animals sacred to her are corvids and vultures, whom she uses as informants. She is a protector of beneficial insects including bees, dragonflies, and beetles.
She is strongly associated with rivers and river flooding, and the dark fertile soil left behind by this process. Her colors are green, silver, black, and purple.
(This is my personal neter - a kemetic "original character" of sorts. However, since she was formed by my subconscious, the archetype she embodies may be relatable to others as well.)
