footsteps almost immediately stop, fur on the back of the feline's neck bristling. "wait, huh?..." are the first thing he mutters, slowly turning his head to meet with the alicorn's own, but the serious and stern expression he was met with instantly causes his head to snap forward again. oh, they were in trouble, weren't they? but just HOW much trouble, i mean, it must be really bad if they weren't even allowed to move!

✮*•̩̩͙✧•̩̩͙*˚✧*˚     A CHILL CREPT  down the king’s spine as he slowly made his way down the halls of the Crystal Castle.  It was rather early in the morning, and despite his health issues that had decided to spring on him during his visit to Yakyakistan, he was feeling much better.  It was a bit difficult to take in all of the sensations from the castle that he once called his home, and how much it had changed ;  the walls, floors, ceilings, and windows all glistened with a brightness he had never seen before, and his footsteps that echoed off the walls gave off somewhat of a tinkling effect, something so light and playful that he had to adjust his ears to become comfortable with.  The castle even smelled different ... the aromatic musk of dampened wood and old paper, like he last remembered it, seemed to give way to something sweeter, lighter, something fresh like a faint cloud of vanilla mixed with a bouquet of fresh flowers.  It was certainly something to get used to ... but besides that, it was hard to feel welcomed even in the place that was once his home, after everything he had done.
