So, last night I had a short dream where a cheetah found Timon and instead of trying to eat him, she just kinda intimidated him? And then hung out with him, Pumba, and Simba. And Timon had kind of a “I hope this doesn’t awaken anything in me” vibe from it, and I thought it was really cute. So, I drew it, along with a (terrible) attempt at mimicking the backgrounds from the Lion King movie. It’s not nearly detailed enough, I know. There are just so, so many layers of plants in the movie and I didn’t get the base ones correctly before adding on to the top ones, so the space is a little empty and flat.
I named the cheetah Rehema because that means “mercy or indulgence” in Swahili and I thought both words were fitting for her. She’s a very intense, rogue-ish type of character who likes to frighten people with sharp-toothed smiles, but is generally good hearted despite that. I guess she also eats bugs like Simba, since she doesn’t eat small animals like Timon and Pumba? Maybe some fish, too.
