This is technically a scene in season three. Whatever it’s my iteration I do what I want. Tell Donnie good job on the first Shellhound.

Which of the turtles hang out the most / are the closest? Like does Leo gravitate more towards Raph or anything like that. Oh and which two clash the most?

also me and my animal questions again but what’s their favorite animals? I think I specifically asked dog or cats last time but now i just mean animal in general

Closeness

Emotionally, Raph and Donnie are closest, but their sensory needs are so wildly different that they don’t hang out with each other as often as they do the others. The two of them are most frequently on Splinter’s bad side, so there’s a lot of unspoken understanding between them. Leo pulls toward Raph quite a bit because Raph’s routines make Leo’s responsibilities easier to keep track of. Mikey gravitates toward Donnie because Donnie is usually the least likely to give him a lecture when he pulls something.

As a general rule, all three older siblings get along least with Mikey. We’ll get to see glimpses in the upcoming episodes, but the two that clash the MOST are Leo and Mikey. Leo’s unskilled, struggles with hand eye coordination, but he’s the oldest, the leader. In Mikey’s mind, that doesn’t make sense. He’s the most skilled out of the four of them, he’s incredibly gifted in martial arts and he’s held back just because of his age. None of his brothers respect him. Mikey doesn’t recognize his own shortsightedness in battle and is convinced he would do a better job leading.

Leo. Hates this. He’s already struggling to keep his younger brothers safe from splinter’s outbursts and all Mikey does is sow more discord. Mikey’s the favorite. All his shortcomings already get overlooked and he’s still pushing boundaries. He disobeys orders, he causes problems, and he’s always gunning for Leo’s position, even though he rarely thinks ahead. Leo sees that as a threat to their safety as a family. There are real, deadly threats at their doorstep and Mikey’s treating all of it like a game.

Their relationship only gets worse as the stakes get higher.

Favorite Animals

Leo likes Flamingos. Has since he was little. Pink is his favorite color and he loves their general shape. He’s the kind of guy to be hella specific too, Chilean Flamingos specifically are his favorite animal. He knows a lot of flamingo trivia and can identify different species of flamingo.

Donnie likes “those weird monkeys with the dumb looking noses. I just think they’re cool.” Leo will try to remind him it’s called a proboscis monkey but Donnie doesn’t care enough to remember.

Raph’s favorite animal is a velociraptor. They’re still animals even if they’re extinct and you can fight him on that. Ask him for dinosaur facts.

Mikey’s not a nerd. His favorite animal is a cat and if you ask him which kind he says “fluffy ones”

Fears

Leo’s not very fond of the dark. In all honesty he’s more afraid of not being prepared, not having information. He’s constantly researching useless things just in case and trying to find ways to one up his enemies because he desperately needs to be prepared for anything. The dark makes it harder to be prepared. Secondarily he’s terrified of hurting his brothers. He has it in his head that because he thinks terrible things, there’s always a chance he could do terrible things, and it makes him spiral.

Donnie isn’t nearly as afraid of anything as he should be. He’s not very fond of spiders or bugs. Mostly he avoids discomfort. It’s to a degree that you could call it a fear. That translates to being afraid of getting chewed out by Leo, or worse, by Splinter.

Raph is scared of thunder. Sudden, loud noises are not his thing. It was worse when he was little. He’s also scared of diseases to a degree. There are some things that he just can’t treat. There’s a reason he cleans frequently and its because they live where disease is rife. He hates not having resources, and doesn’t want his brothers to get hurt/killed/etc. on his watch.

Mikey is scared of… Splinter. More than anything he knows that if Splinter has any reason not to favor him, he’ll end up on his bad side.

Mona

I wanted to save her for later in the answer. Trust I did not forget. I want to keep some details of her situation a surprise so people won’t be able to guess when in season two she comes up, but I can tell you what she’s like!

Mona is the biggest sweetheart in the world. She’s incredibly lonely and has learned almost everything she knows about socializing from books. She’s really not great at this, but she’s eager beyond anything to make any kind of friend. It’s harder than it sounds sometimes.

She’s honestly very similar to Leo in a lot of ways. She’s a pretty skilled strategist, and is fond of learning. She’s also struggles pretty significantly with body coordination. There’s a lot that overlaps between the two of them, but Mona is more willing to take a gamble. She’s got a lot of hope that things will eventually go right.

AS FOR SONIC T. HEDGEHOG

augh I love Sonic bro… Amy Rose is my absolute favorite. I am a die hard Amy fan she can do no wrong in my eyes, I love her so much and I just know the movies are going to screw up her character I’m so scared for Sonic 4 they botched Maria, they ruined Shadow’s origins, and I fear for my girl most terribly 💔💔💔

I’m also a big fan of Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and Rouge I think they’re cool :)

Sonic Mania is my favorite just because it was my first ever Sonic game. I had been a fan of Sonic for years before I was able to get my hands on any of the games. Also the music slaps (like always).

Here’s a fun fact. I have over 150 unpublished Sonic fanfics! And also about 38 OCs! I have almost NEVER TALKED ABOUT THEM. In middle school/early high school the only thing I considered more embarrassing and shameful than my love of romance was my love of Sonic so I never worked up the courage to share anything on any social media/fanfic website/anything. I also really struggled to draw any of the Sonic art styles so I filled about ten sketchbooks with art and comics of Sonic characters as humans and my gosh was I dedicated. I don’t think I ever posted a THING. I was sick of getting teased at school for liking Sonic and had myself convinced I would be made fun of on the internet too (not the most unfounded assumption…)

Snacks

Leo enjoys a healthy snack. They aren’t always able to have fruits and vegetables in the lair but when they do he’s excited to have them to munch on.

Donnie is not really a snacker. He forgets to eat for hours on end and then has a giant meal to make up for it. When he does eat he enjoys everything. He’ll swipe candy from April, douse his food in hot sauce on a whim, anything that’ll save him from boredom (under stimulation) fastest.

Raph doesn’t snack either. Not unless it’s an emergency situation that throws off his eating schedule. He is incredibly picky about what he keeps in his pouch on the off chance that happens, and even then it’s more about texture than flavor. He just needs something that has a consistent texture and doesn’t have an aftertaste.

Mikey has a sweet tooth. He’ll sneak the occasional candy bar when no one’s looking and tends to keep something sweet near him in his room while he’s animating. He’s the kind of guy to eat a bowl of chocolate chips.

You asked about the turtles but I’m including April too. She also has a considerable sweet tooth. I’ve mentioned the secret stash of candy before, that Donnie dips his fingers into from time to time. She tends to gravitate toward sour candy though.

Pets

Mikey is a cat person through and through. He loves them. They tend to remind him of his brothers, and he’ll try to adopt them all the time. Leo’s not pleased.

Leo is the kind of guy to complain about the new pet in the house and then come home with five new toys “just in case it’s bored”. He’s a performative pet hater. He wants to be the favorite.

Donnie enjoys dogs and cats both. So does April. They like any pet really.

Raph feels REALLY WEIRD ABOUT PETS. He is too acutely aware of the fact that he’s also an animal. Keeping a pet in the house is just such an uncomfortable idea to him.

Allergies

No allergies. I actually didn’t think of that during development. Go figure.

Music taste

April has trained these boys up in the way of eighties and nineties hip hop. It’s what her parents listen to, it’s what she listens to, and it’s what the turtles listen to. If they’re hanging out and want music, that’s the easy pick.

On their own, Leo pulls toward anything with soft guitar. Latin jazz tends to sit nice in his ears, or folk music. He’ll listen to almost anything though. He always loves learning and music is a part of history.

Donnie sticks to hip hop generally. He’s got this busted up old boom box that he keeps in the workshop and that’s what sounds best on the speakers. He starts to get a soft spot for older R&B love songs later in life. For reasons I won’t yet disclose.

Raph is a city pop nut. It scratches a particular itch in his brain. If he has his headphones on, it’s probably a Japanese woman belting her heart out over synthesizer. He eats it up. As does a close ally we will meet in season two.

Mikey’s kind of an everything guy. Anything he can animate to, which is usually a good show tune, pop song, or some rock music.

They do have some karaoke night classics outside of the general range of enjoyment. White girl music is very popular when it’s karaoke night, and they do have personalized choreo to more than one *NSYNC song. Man or a Muppet is also very popular.

Hamato Michelangelo, hatched September 6th, 2008

The youngest of the four. Mikey’s a talented martial artist, ninjutsu comes to him as easily as breathing. He’s a golden child, always in good graces with Splinter, and always seeking to maintain that favor. It can be hard for him to get along with his brothers because of that.

Mikey is afraid. Afraid of failure. Afraid of losing his place as the favorite son. Afraid of never being respected by his older brothers. If saving the world will put him in the spot he wants to be in, he’ll do it without hesitation.
