Regional Bites
I know it’s been a while since I posted foodie news going on around Northwest Indiana. But this news is so good I had to share! Whole Foods, that mecca of organic kale and overpriced hummus, will be opening up a Schererville store in 2015. For people like me, who have been known to take a road trip into Chicago to stock on their specialty items-this is true awesome sauce! Now, if only we can convince Trader Joe’s to come to our neck of the woods…
For foodies living in Miller, we just got a few more choices for breakfast. Flamingo Pizza recently began offering Breakfast at the Bird on Fridays through Sunday. They are only serving from 7 am to 11 am, so be sure to get there early.  However, you can also grab breakfast at the nearby Miller Beach Market Center. Carmella and her fabulous team have been expanding their food offerings as of late and it’s worth the trip. In fact, I recently had a chance to grab a muffuletta sandwich made especially for me by my new pal Crystal and it was heaven sent.
Speaking of Miller Beach Market Center, I just found out that they're hosting a wine tasting this Saturday from 4Â pm-6Â pm. So stop in and say hello while enjoying a glass of their finest. Happy eating everyone!
