Hey guys, guess who's back from their vacation! I'm so glad I took this time off to really relax and not let my work overcrowd my thoughts. I feel refreshed, and eager to get back into the swing of things now!
This is Kalosian Emboar, a fire/steel type with heavy emphasis on honour.
-------------------------------
It forges its armor from its own flames, and uses it to both protect its body, and cover a scar it once received from a Samurott during a duel. Instead of the fire around it's neck, this Emboar is able to produce fire from it's tail and arms. It can also morph the flames on its arms into the shape of a sword and shield. Though they are no harder than regular fire, the heat is intensified so that attacks with these 'weapons' still cause serious damage. If you choose to train a Kalosian Emboar, expect nothing but the best from your partner Pokemon, as it is loyal to a fault and will fight for you until its last breath.
------------------------------
So yeah, I finally finished my three designs for the Legends Z-A starters, just in time for the game to be released too! I hope you all enjoyed them, I had a lot of fun coming up with these designs, and would be happy to create more fakemon if enough people enjoyed these ones!
Anyway, that's enough out of me, I hope you enjoyed this piece, and I can't wait for the next one!
I do not own Pokemon Legends: Z-A, or Emboar. I just wanted to speculate on designs.

Happy Fakemon Friday! I'm in a real Fakemon mood lately, and have been coming up with ideas for a region based on Colorado. And with it officially being December, I've got ice-types on the brain.
Tubetle and Torboggan are normal/ice type Pokemon. Tubletle gives rides to people and Pokemon with its indented shell. It picks up surprising speed while going downhill. Torboggan work with rangers to ferry injured people down to the base. They're based off of snow tubing and rescue toboggans. Slush Rush would be their primary ability.
Pikachu in this region are ice types, uniquely found early in the game (as Pikachu is in RBY). They're based on the animal pika. They evolve with the Ice Stone into Snowchu, who are based on snowshoe hares. I like how "chu" rhymes with "shoe"! These Pokemon are beloved for their cute appearance and their soft fur. Snowchu's feet let them walk nimbly over ice without breaking the surface. Snowchu would be physical rather than special like Raichu, and learn Triple Axel.
This is petty and ultimately doesn't matter but if they are giving the starters Megas rather than regional forms then I am SO MAD that they didn't pick Snivy and Piplup (and Scorbunny)
Like... if it's regional forms I can understand that you can't really make them any more French and it would be interesting to see more French/Parisian inspired designs of other Pokémon
But if it's Mega Evolutions and the base forms don't change... what's the point? Megas expand on the existing designs, so surely in that case Serperior, Empoleon and say Cinderace would have been PERFECT because expanding on their designs doesn't fundamentally change them compared with regional forms so you are keeping the French themed designs!
It's also disappointing (if it is the case, I hope it isn't) because regional forms are more interesting than Megas I have to say (and are permanent!)
If the leaks are true about no Kalosian regional variants, no Ash Greninja, and that no new pokemon are coming and we're just getting 27 new Mega evolutions in Z-A is true, I'm going to crash out. Mainly because that is part of what made Pokemon Legends Arceus so interesting and unique. It was one of the first non-mainline games to introduce more pokemon into a generation, and you're not going to continue that in the next pokemon legends game? You're just going to add an overabundance of mega evolvable pokemon into the game and expect everyone to be happy with it? Because I won't be, especially since Meganium won't get a buff with a new regional form. If you didn't know already, Meganium is infamous for being the weakest starter of all time. A regional form would have really helped it, and so would have a mega evolution to go with the regional form! But a regular Meganium that just has a mega evolution and a few new moves? I mean c'mon. Same goes for the Emboar and Feraligatr. In fact this just feels like the times when Blaziken and Charizard got their own respective mega evolution and gigantamax form. If Meganium, Emboar, Feraligatr are getting their own mega evolutions, what about Typhlosion, Samurott, and Serperior? And sure, Typhlosion and Samurott have their own regional forms, but that just leaves Serperior in the dust with nothing else. So should we expect future dlc with more megas or no? We probably won't, but it still just feels so out of place.
And as for the Ash Greninja bs, Pokemon can't just ignore Ash Greninja like they did with Zygarde in the game. Like give us an in-game explanation for why it exists? And yes, I know its form was removed as of the current generation of pokemon, but its still referenced (the abstract painting in Nemona's house). I would be partly satisfied if Ash Greninja were turned into a mega evolution and the explanation would just be that sometimes a bond between a person and a pokemon is intense enough that it causes a transformation like that to occur. But then again, that just contradicts what has come before. Like c'mon! Tell us why this guy exists in a world without Ash Ketchum.
I will say that it does make some sense why new regional forms and new evolutions for old pokemon aren't appearing in this game. This takes place in the semi-near future and not the past. But still, new species of animals are being discovered every day, whats stopping that from happening in the pokemon world. Plus, the pokemon with new forms in PLA didn't originally come from the original Diamond and Pearl games with the exception of Sneasal who got a new evolution in those games. So we could have gotten some new regional forms in these games.
Hopefully, these leaks are lying for the most part. And its not that I entirely hate mega evolutions, I just want more than JUST mega evolutions. Call me whatever your like, I enjoyed the hell out of regional variants.
