Ah, Jafael headcanon. This is a very weird one but go with it: I headcanon that Rafael has an awful sweet tooth. Like seriously, he loves deserts so much and, whenever the cookie jar is full, he’s as responsible for finishing it in two days as Mateo is (also creates extra workout time for Raf, honestly stop filling that cookie jar). Knowing this, Jane is determined to do a Grand Romantic Gesture for one of his birthdays. So, she decides to learn a chocolate cake recipe and bake it for him herself. She’s no good at cooking, let alone baking, but Jane is DETERMINED goddammit. Anyways, years later, and Raf wouldn’t stop telling their grand kids about that time Jane almost burned down the house trying to do something romantic.

RIGHT? like no my dude, those two are not comparable. At all. Raf always had a streak of kindness and genuine care or people and while what he did with Petra then was terrible, he didn’t go and compel someone because he was rejected. Two consenting adults and all.

I knowww, she looks so... charmed in that moment? The way that she’s looking at him, that fond adoring look with that small smile just doesn’t quite match up with what he’s saying to her in that moment and I just keep thinking Jane?? Sweetie?? Are you listening? Where your head at? I know he’s really beautiful but he’s also trying to tell you something??? It’s such an odd moment to give him such a soft look.

haha no I swear that was by accident. I actually had plans for once. Went to see a play and all. And then when I did watch at night I got so disheartened by Xo’s cancer storyline that I just didn’t stay on much. I would have dealt with the lack of Jafael fine but that SL is going to be too painful to watch, I’m honestly not sure how to deal with it.
