Paul and Nikki had just come up from Florida to spend the holidays in Greenwich, and no sooner had they showed up had Paul discovered that their heater was refusing to work. So, he sent the girls to Shane’s place and called the repair company, who said they would be out as soon as possible-- which Paul found out was going to be awhile due to the snowstorm. “Nikki, relax. It’s snowing like crazy out there. We want the repairman to get here safely, yeah? If you want, I can get you a hot cup of tea and try to build a fire in the fireplace to keep us warm until the handyman shows up.” He kissed the top of Nikki’s head, inwardly shaking his own at Nikki’s over the top attitude. It was one of the many things that he loved about her. “I could even make us some soup.”

Paul looked away from his phone and down at Ashley, giving her a gentle smile. “Sure, Ash... get some rest.” He whispered, running a hand through her thick blonde locks. He knew that the younger woman had been working extremely hard as of late, so he wanted her to relax while she could on the flight. “Do you want a blanket? I can have the flight attendant bring you one... it’s a little chilly.”
