No longer accepting | @regalisking
It had been already two wonderful years together. And Renji still could barely believe it. How time flew so fast. How he had remained by his side all along. He didn’t want to cry of course ; he hadn’t planned a single thing to say, while he still held the gift in his hands. Yet he had so much to tell him.
“Thank you… for everything and staying with me. I never expected you to remain… Renji whispered, his voice becoming brittler, throaty, more and more emotional and happier with each word. For you’re… free. For it’s your nature. And loving you meant… I couldn’t hold you back if you ever decided to leave… I shouldn’t. I’d never do this. I’d never try to change you.
He had to pause there, as if he was now crying out all the fear he had felt to find himself alone one morning waking up.
- If you had left me, I’d have never… been angry at you for it. I’d have never despised you or stopped loving you for it. I’d have just accepted it, he assured, his voice still breaking from a syllable to another, while his glistening eyes now looked upon the Sexta Espada’s. But you stayed. With me. And you made me so happy. You still make me so happy…”
He couldn’t go on so he just extended his arms, finally letting go of the tenderly wrapped present he had prepared for his lover. Inside, there were many small things. An old music disk, a butterfly knife, a few bracelets, letters written so fast some included unreadable words, even a long strand of red hair. These were memories. Little things that told so much of Renji’s story.
And at the bottom of the box, there was a very nice picture of them with all their pets, nicely framed.
