It’s been almost an entire day and Jackson is about to go crazy. He’s been in half the ship, has even turned his holo back on to see if anyone had given him any hints. He’s searched the lower deck, the middle deck, even the command deck. He’s been around the ship five times. The droid, for the entire day, continues to elude him. A sense of desperation is starting to set in, which is a feeling he’s not familiar with at all and it makes him uncomfortable, so he decides to do what any person in their right mind would do in such a case; he goes to have dinner.
The intermezzo allows him to gather his thoughts, to think about the day and what he has not done or tried yet that will help him find his droid. Eventually he decides he’s just going to have to talk to more people, because he is not about to lose the best creation of his life so far. Taking a moment to clear away the leftovers of his dinner, Jackson then heads back out to the middle deck and patiently waits in one place for people to start showing up again.
He asks left and right, anyone who passes by, if they’ve seen the BB-series droid in white and blue with the H1-A14 painted onto the side of its head. Every person that passes whom he hasn’t seen before, he calmly steps into their way to ask the same question. A meticulous task which he continues to do despite how bored his own mind is getting of it.
The same so with a young woman who comes into view. Calmly stepping into her path, Jackson forces the corners of his mouth up into what he hopes is a proper enough smile before speaking. “Have you perhaps seen a BB-series droid, about this high?” He motions with his hand to signal the proper height. “White and blue, it has its name painted on the side of its head. I’m not entirely sure what it’s doing, but probably it’s just continuously moving about...”
