Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? Acts 19:2 When I was 13 years old, I received the gift of the Holy Spirit. I was a broken little girl in need of a Comforter. Sometimes, there were public signs of the private hell I experienced. The things I couldn’t tell anyone, I told God. The pain no one else could soothe, Holy Spirit healed. The answers no one else could give, He gave. Speaking in tongues was the initial sign that He was there with me and living in me the way His word described. I found in Him the stability, faithfulness, unwavering love and forgiveness He promised to give. As an adult, I see how much the Spirit has worked in me to transform my way of thinking for the better, to change the way I respond to the difficulties of life. I see the power and boldness He promised to give me to be a witness of His grace and goodness. I know what it is to use the power and authority He has given me to fight the enemy and win! He is STILL teaching me, making me stronger and better. I’ve prayed with family, friends and strangers and witnessed THEM receive Him. I think that is even more exciting than receiving Him for myself.
