How to Refinish and Remove Stains on Antique Marble Top Table
When possible I prefer to scrape to remove the finish on a refinish project. With the right tools it can be just as fast as chemical strippers. This 6 ft table and two leaves took 2.5 hours to scrape and sand starting at 80 grit and ending with 120. Now to color match. #woodworking #finewoodworking #refinishedfurniture #refinishing #tablerestoration #bachotools https://www.instagram.com/p/CdFBrKGDyh8/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Update on the dresser saga too. Here's the before and after.
I harbour some reservations about painting pine furniture. In this case the pine is old - it's a fairly modern piece made from reclaimed timber - and I was reluctant to cover it up.
This really hadn't fared well though. Our awful removers two years ago had a leaky lorry and there were water stains all over it that I couldn't hide no matter how I tried.
I think this refresh gives it a new lease of life. I have to say I'm pretty happy about how it turned out.
