fe4 and fe5 are connected and though set in the same universe as fe1/3 are unconnected to those games. Fe5 is a side story to fe4 and is the hardest game in the series so far, well fe4 has a large scale. both are japan exclusive snes games so you would need fan translated roms to play them. fe6 is the last japan only game that needs a fan translation to play it, and is set in a different unconnected universe with the same elements as the previous games. Its prequal fe7 is the first English one.
fe 8 is again set in a different universe then the previous ones, and fe9 and 10 again shift universe. all of them have official English releases. And on a side note theirs a game called tearing saga which was created by the 'father' of fire emblem kaga after he left intelligent systmes/ nintendo. its a japan only game on the psp but it recently got an English fan translation and its basically a fire emblem game in its own right.
Oh wow a lot of japan-only releases. Well I’m sure I can find the fan translations easily. The internet is a magical place.
