Some of my macroalgea appears to have died, and has dark green spots on it??? The top two pictures are of the effected algae, the bottom picture is how it usually looks. Anyone know what's going on, or if it's anything to be concerned about???

You'll get a picture eventually but I couldn't snap one just yet. Crystal and I used to have hermit crabs (not marine/reef hermits, just your everyday out of the water hermit). We had a couple shells left over including a pink one that Crystal had chosen. We threw them all in the aquarium so our reef hermits would have shells to change into and well, you guessed it. One of them has housed the notorious pink shell. FML.
