For a relationship, I think they could be a good couple after Kevin and Red split ways. Or maybe the three of them form a thruple.

Annie is naive and easily pulled into trends. She is very much the typical girl. This could be why her and Red are such close friends. While it is not entirely canon, Red is frequently depicted as a rebel. I think this is because she is seen succumbing to trends less frequently than Wendy, Bebe, Annie and the other girls despite being a reoccurring background character with speaking lines.

Annie’s canon last name changes frequently over the course of the show. An explanation for this could be that she is an adopted child who has unfortunately gone through more than one home. This could be a reason that she falls so easily into trends as an escape from a difficult home life.

Red is outspoken and confident. She is Annie’s loyal ally and close friend in these difficult times. They are both silly and girly. But they both show signs of rebellion. Annie joined Butters’ kissing company so she might be more rebellious than we had initially thought. Either that or she needed the money because of the aforementioned home-life.

I see the two of them enjoying each others company in simple acts. Holding hands, getting ice cream, playing dolls, talking shit, and being one anothers confidants. Their friendship is as natural and easy as water flowing down a stream and should they pursue a romantic relationship, they would continue to be a happy pair who take simple joys in being with one another.

Some miscellaneous things I think they would enjoy:

sleepovers where they compare pajamas, both of them eventually owning far too many pairs solely for this purpose

fighting over who’s music tastes are better. Annie likes pop, Red likes metal. There is no middle ground

trading off on who buys lunch or snacks, always offering to pay the other back and neither keeping track of how much they’ve spent on one another
