not just the colour, but the shape, the length of their eyelashes, whether they're alert or usually half-closed, large or small, sunken into the face, ringed by bags, etc.
Steve's eyes tend to be something a lot of the women in his lifefocus on. Not just the fact that they tend to be a storm blue butbecause of the fact that his eyelashes tend to be longer than most. It's something that has been there since before the serum and theyaren't things he normally pays attention to. They also tend to be thewindows into his soul and will sometimes speak more of what he'sfeeling than any words he may or may not say. It's easier for him tolie via words but his eyes will always betray him no matter what. Allit takes is someone to look close enough to see what is written thereon his face.
Because he was trained as a soldier and due to the fact he fought inWorld War II his eyes are constantly looking around for any signs ofdanger. It didn't matter where he is they are always flickeringaround a room. If he's in a small, confined place they are alwayslooking for exits. He knows if he can find an exit he can findsafety. They are always alert, always bright and always looking fortrouble. If he's in any other mood his eyes will most likely betrayhim before any words. If he's working on very little sleep there willbe hints of black underneath his eyes along with some bags. If he'shaving one of his many bad days his eyes will not even look likethere's an ounce of happiness in them. And when he's truly happenmore often than not you will see joy and that happiness reflectedback at you.
His eyes will also change different shades of blue. The colour mostpeople tend to see is the storm blue that they usually are. Dependingon his mood they will go to a darker shade of blue all the way up toa sky blue. Steve never notices them and unless someone actuallypoints them out he won't even think about that fact. Along with hisabnormally long eyelashes it makes his eyes something that stand outthe most on his face. And it tends to be something the women in hislife enjoy talking about.
Before the serum Steve was actually astigmatic, meaning he wouldsometime squint when looking at objects as they tended to be blurry.Once he was given the serum, he had perfect 20/20 vision. Ifanything, he seems to think his vision is better than that because ofhis ability to see further than some of those on his team. The onlyone who could see further than him is Barton and he's given up onactually trying to win that particular argument.
