REDUCING COLOR in PHOTOSHOP: 2-Color Reductions
For 2-COLOR PRINTS that have a good contrast.
1. File>Open the “two color artwork” 2. Image>Adjustment>Threshold, toggle the arrow in the Threshold Dialog Box until you get a strong black and white image. 3. You may need to clean up the stray pixels. To do this you can use any of the Selection tools, the Pencil tool, or the Eraser tool in pencil, or block mode. 4. You may also try using Filter>Noise>Dust and Scratches (adjust the setting in the Dust and Scratches option window). Keep the radius at 1 pixel to get rid of stray “single” pixels. Keep preview on to check the results. 5. When you are finished file save your work with a different name.
