​Tour of the Old Tower

Hey everyone! So, before I show you my factory I thought I’d show you the base I’ve been in for most of this server’s lifespan - the Old Tower! This was originally a Roguelike Dungeon, but I conquered it for all it was worth and built some extensions to make it my own.

Windy Beginnings

I’ve been playing lately on a 1.7.10 modpack called Wizard Space Technician. It’s a custom pack I’ve made with my friends and I run my own server for it. We have Galacticraft, Thaumcraft, Thermal Expansion, EnderIO, Minefactory Reloaded and many other cool mods. When we started, I found a Roguelike Dungeon right next to spawn and made it my home! My first week was spent diving deep down into the dungeons, fighting monsters and grabbing loot.  I made a windmill from Immersive Engineering to power my machines. I quickly upgraded to an Improved Windmill once I had enough hemp and began powering things a lot better. 

This is only the beginning. Things are going to get bigger and better!

Building the Factory

After a while, even after building an extension, my dungeon home was just too small for everything I wanted to do! I needed space - a big factory, ready for massive contraptions, space equipment and storage! If I was going to go big, I needed to go BIG.

I started by terraforming the land around my base, levelling it off with a single layer of dirt surrounded by a stone brick wall and iron fence. Getting the clay for this was tough - I ended up using the Water and Earth essences from Magical Crops to grow clay. It was a very long, and very arduous process. Growing the crops, crafting into clay, smelting the clay, crafting the bricks and chiseling it to the correct design. 

But over time, slowly but surely, brick by brick the factory sprang up around me. I eventually had to create a jetpack to keep building! The factory is MASSIVE. I can’t wait to show you all when I’m finished.

Hey everybody.

Back from my indefinite hiatus. I took a long break from modded minecraft while I focused on what was important to me - finishing university, being overseas, starting my first job. As I’ve got more free time, and a bit more money, I’ve decided to get back into Minecraft in my spare time.

I’m currently playing a 1.7.10 modpack with a few friends (my laptop isn’t powerful enough for 1.10.2 yet) and really enjoying it. I’ll be posting more content soon.

Hey everyone,

You’re probably wondering why the blog has been so inactive lately. The reason is that I’m currently on a six month exchange to the United Kingdom. I have had to close my Minecraft server and overall I’m not that interested in Minecraft any more, so I’m taking a break.

I still love the world of modded minecraft very much, and I will return one day. But for now Redstoneflux is on hiatus until further notice.

Thank you followers for bringing me to nearly 130! wow! Really, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Beeville with Shaders!

Earlier this year I made a custom modpack for myself and my friends, entitled “MinceRaft: The New Order”. Full of magic, technology and most importantly ADVENTURE!

We made a server that we all built on together, and I also invited a few of my tumblr followers/friends such as thesearethewordsofthebeast. It was excellent, and we made tons of cool and functional builds.

Unfortunately, now that I am leaving for the United Kingdom for uni, I can no longer maintain the server so I have had to shut it down. Some of the community have moved to the CraftAU Infinity server to continue playing, me included.

However, the old server world still holds a special place in my heart so I have pulled it off the dying server computer’s hard drive and preserved it online, available for download! Feel free to explore and check out all the builds and stuff we’ve made if you have the inclination.
