1. they never call themselves a couple out loud, but the feelings are there and they always do things that couples typically do (like taking care of each other when one is injured, kissing in private, sleeping in the same bed)

2. red talks a little bit more around her, especially so when they’re alone because he finds he can trust her.

3. red stayed at annie’s ranch for a month or two after his bounty was posted and helped her out around the farm, but had to flee because of the army being on his trail and he didn’t want her to be in harms way. he told her he would return once his bounty was cleared, but never did because he was caught and/or died

4. they don’t use pet names or nicknames. idk i just can’t see it.

5. red typically will be the one to listen while annie rants or talks about a book she’s reading, asking short questions to show he’s listening.

6. it took him a while to open up to annie about his past and why he killed griffon, and she didn’t push before he was ready. she listened intently when he finally opened up and made sure he knew that he made the right choice

7. both are extremely competitive, and after a hard days work at the ranch sometimes they’ll have shooting competitions with liquor bottles or cans as targets

8. nobody truly knows if they’re a couple bc they’re very private, but some people are suspicious with the way they look at each other, follow each other around, and sometimes even catch private rare glimpses of them showing public affection. (they probably couldn’t go out in public after rdrev ended bc of reds very high bounty and her association with him but let’s just pretend)
