Redspencer are a Melbourne, Australia band. “Perks” was released about a year ago on Deaf Ambitions. If you like the softer, more laid back, 1970s AOR feel (think of America’s best songs), then this LP will be your cuppa tea (and lie down).
This was mastered by Josh Bonati who also worked with Mac DeMarco and DIIV. Both of those bands have a similar feel to this Redspencer release. I would be remiss if I also didn’t mention Australia’s own The Ocean Party.
