hey cutie! yess i had huge issues with my forehead being super clogged, basically lots and lots of little bumps across my whole forehead that were really visible in the light and looked horrible! i was using coconut oil as a moisturiser for a bit and i do think it made it a bit worse! i ended up going to a dermatologist and he said i had subclinical acne and i was prescribed with ‘Epiduo’ cream which was amazing! i used it daily for 3 months and it really helped to clear up my forehead, and now i use it more as a spot treatment and to prevent them coming back!
so after that cleared up most of the bumps, i changed my skincare routine to the bare minimum so i wasn't putting a ton of chemicals on my face! (i also had perioral dermatitis on my chin so i kind of had to lay off the skincare a bit haha) basically i use micellar water *or now coconut oil?* to remove my makeup, i wash my face with this african black soap (its amazing! but i also used to just use dove soap and that was fine too) and a face cloth, and then moisturise with jojoba oil which has a low comodogenic rating (doesn't clog pores!) also sometimes i like to do a face mask - i use bentonite clay mixed with water and its really nice and i find it makes my pores feel nice and tight!
just use simple, natural ingredients and dont overload your skin with too many products!
