SMOKE UNFURLS, THE RUBBLE OF destroyed housing lays around her, ash blown softly aside from the gentle breezes which swirl about the mists in archimedes. there is a wrinkle of her nose at the scent of death, one which lingers within the haze---different, yet all too familiar that demise awaits to any who might hold onto their memories, let alone the homes they have had so long. ❝ It was necessary, Kai’Sa. Remember this. ❞ words as these are meant to remind her the reason for her actions, that it was for the greater good, nothing else. people could not stay here safely, clinging to mortal possessions in exchange for their lives. no matter how it pained her, the way they looked on in fear before running off, there would be good for it.
fingers curl into fists, the skin writhing beneath her, hungering for actual death to relish in. these people didn’t know, did they? ignorant that it was only the houses she could see as devoid of life to be destroyed by something horrific, to instill a horror that would make them flee this place. yet there were still a set of footsteps which approach, deep purple lifting to turn her gaze toward them. this one was not frightened, no, yet she was certain there would be misunderstanding.
but that was how all legends were born, after all, weren’t they?
❝ ... have you come to rid of the ‘monster’ here? ❞ that was the most she could conclude, not having seen her face in the crowds prior, nor the willingness to run merely at the sight of her presence.
