Idiot's Don't Catch Colds - Mikoto + Yata
"Ugh.." A groan as Yata moved to the first floor of Homra's bar from one of the spare upstairs bedrooms. It had been raining randomly the last few days and with no job or a place to live, Kusanagi had insisted he stay in the bar. Although it wasn't free and Yata was meant to clean up the bar in exchange. He didn't get much sleep last night as evidenced by the bags under his eyes and his slow, unsteady walk as he rubbed at his eyes.
It was a little early in the morning. Kusanagi wasn't around and so Yata decided to get to work on cleaning. That was when a quick glance in the direction of the couch made him pause, a grin stretched over his face as his eyes lit up. That familiar red hair was unmistakable. "Mikoto-san! Good morning!" His voice was unnaturally hoarse and nasally but still cheerful.
He wasn't sure if his King had heard him or even saw him as he bowed to him out of respect. Once he raised his head up he realized his nose was running so he wiped it on his sleeve. "Mr. Kusanagi's not here yet, huh?" Unless he missed him somewhere. Well he wasn't exactly anticipating a response as he looked around for a broom.
"How are you, King?" Yata was sweating a little. Why was it so hot in here? "Er, did you have the heater up?" He wanted to turn down the heat but he wouldn't if Mikoto had specifically turned it on. Yata hadn't even realized that he was the one who was burning up, or that he was displaying clear signs of having a fever. Either he was truly an idiot or he was still half asleep.
Yata sniffled as he sucked the snot back in his nose and made a pleased "Aha!" as he spotted the broom and set to work sluggishly sweeping up the bar before Kusanagi's arrival. He paused in his work and threw a glance over at Mikoto. "Oh. Have you eaten breakfast yet, Mikoto-san?" He should probably work on that first.
