Red jackfruits are starting to come up in our nursery. My mouth is already watering at the thought of tasting these. Red fleshed jackfruit is fairly rare. It has be noted that any color shade between yellowish red, light red, light pink to dark red are all categorized by people as ‘red jackfruit.’ In comparison to its yellow fleshed counterpart, it has a more subtle aroma and is not as sweet which would be great for people like my grandma who can’t handle the intense, fruity scent of yellow jackfruit.
