the chaos was eating joker alive. dressed in his trademark outfit, his scars were painted over by a blood red and green strands of his hair contrasted against the stark white skin of his forehead. the dark purple of his suit stood out against the uniforms of the syndicate and strike force. a rifle was perched on his shoulder as he carelessly held the handle of the gun like it could slip from his grasp with every skip to his step. this was far from his own doing but joker reveled in the anarchy that filled the streets, igniting civilians to turn against their protectors and heroes to turn against their handlers.
it was only by chance that he found himself in contact with a bright haired female he had grown an interest for. it reached beyond just messing with the former bat brat. now, he had a keen interest in the woman herself and everything that made her tick.
“shh...” he whispered, gun falling to his side as the cool brick of the alley settled against his back. he had pulled her into the entrance to save her from a fatal encounter with numbers that far outweighed her own, with or without powers. he kept a firm grasp over her mouth, chin hooked over her shoulder as he peered out of the alley, waiting for them to pass. “quiet,” he finally spoke in a small hiss, slowly uncovering her mouth. the clown thought the strike force unit had passed but he failed to see the syndicate members approaching the opposite way until he narrowly dodged a punch, shooting them in retaliation on instinct.
“Oopsies,” he uttered with a dark grin as he faced the cloaked members who were now enraged at the sight of their dead comrade. chaos followed him wherever he went and he had pulled her into the fray with him. fun, he mused to himself before taking aim at another cloaked figure.
