She had learned how to talk, to make matters worse-- because his other ninken said it was weird otherwise. So, that’s all the pup said. “Play, play! Let’s play!” Kakashi laments her lack of silence now, in comparison to Bull. He was a quiet one, wasn’t he? He wished Nasu was, too.

He follows behind the pup quietly, until she suddenly bolts, having caught onto a scent. Kakashi prided himself on a good nose, but he ceded this to the dog. He knew not what she did.

It turns out it’s the Inuzuka, and Akamaru tagging along. He’s a big dog, a huge one, and Nasu is but a babe. She headbutts the larger canine in the back of his leg, and she says “Woah!”
