brownies and shortbread cookies came out much better. we're so back.
Also Hana gpf medal!!!!!!!
In which being lil sib of subway bros would be a bit sad, spurred on by our little discussion in the comments
cw: YOU are not having a good time, disconnection to family?? maybe even friends as a result idk im projecting mildly! angst only no comfort!!
-third wheel? you are the embodiment of the term.
-while you don't put too much blame on them, it is a bit disheartening at times whenever you just see them have such a deep level of understanding for each other. maybe you even get left out sometimes in the family as a whole
-the 7 year age gap was a lot of time for ingo and emmet to bond, both with each other and your parents. naturally, they would be closer.
-you would usually just watch them interact, maybe stand there for a while before noticing they weren't acknowledging your presence then going off to your own room and playing with your zorua.
-if you're anything like me, you probably don't even bring it up to them, not wanting them to feel bad about something they do subconsciously. you don't have the heart to tell your parents about it either, not wanting to come off as attention seeking or ungrateful.
-your parents did give you a lot of attention when you were younger but, it was only up until after kindergarten. they were quite supportive of emmet and ingo after that time because they were stressed out in highschool, so their attention diverted your brothers instead.
-due to this, you rarely engaged with people your age either in school. quiet, reserved. speak only when spoken to. when you DID make friends, you wouldn't even actively seek them out which sometimes came off a little cold. people didn't know what you were thinking. your aura screamed "don't bother me" whenever you pulled out a book to read or write on but really, you only did so to occupy yourself.
-on the walks back from school with your brothers, you don't say anything either. only listening to them converse with each other. at home, you eat silently and go back into your room after.
-maybe when you were really sad, you didn't come out of your room. your zorua, seeing that you hadn't gone out to eat dinner would shapeshift and take the plate in for you. he felt even worse when he noticed that your parents just left the lone plate covered on the table, why didn't they ask you to come out? he comes back after and gives you the plate with a hug. there's something funny you find in your zorua hugging you, as you. as if this was some sort of physical metaphor of self-comfort.
-then he would look over to see them in the living room, teaching ingo and emmet something. smiling and laughing.
-at some point ingo caught on and tried to talk to you, you only said that it was better if you stayed away and went back to your room.
-soon enough, you were sat down in front of the whole family. they looked guilty, and somehow YOU felt guilty too. they expressed that they've noticed you've been unlike yourself and they had not been including you as of late. you want to cry, you feel like you've done something wrong in making them feel bad but you shouldn't.
-you tell them, but only tell them a bit. maybe, maybe you lied a little too.
-and at the end of your half-explanation which you didn't want to give anyway, you include that you wish to take on the gym challenge. they accepted, and helped you prepare.
-you smiled on your day of departure, they waved you off, your brothers hugged you and gave you the knitted sweater. then, you turned around. as you sat on the subway, you cried. it was better this way, wasn't it? without you at home, they can be happy together. they wouldn't keep that sad expression on their faces. they would just continue as normal with each other just as it was before you, not constantly fretting over every time they do something about whether they are excluding you or not. something real, not fake, you think.
-i'll be fine on my own.
I would think lil sib reader trained hard so they would have a chance at becoming famous for their skills. They get some sort of satisfaction when they hear the cheers of the audience during battles. And feels empty after it ends lol why is this so sad?? My period mood is sumn else HAHAHAHA
*sobbing* oh no!!! Little sib!!! This is so angsty I love it but also oh nooooo!! No!! You are loved!! They love you!!! :(((

The boi
I’ll Stand By You- Chapter 7
"What are we going to do to fix this?" Courtney can hear her dad saying in the living room. After she was sent to her room (like a fucking child), her parents were quiet for an eerily long time, but now she could hear the start of 'damage control'. "Maybe we can take her out of school? Put her on self-study?" Her mother suggested. The idea made Courtney feel nauseous. She really didn't feel like listening to them any longer. They were going to make all these decisions without consulting her and she wasn't going to stay put and agonize over it. So, very quietly, Court snuck out their back door and high tailed it to Duncan's house.
