“S’not my alarm, James. Never set it last night.”

“You disappear for months and that’s how you greet me? What makes you think I want to hear you excuse?”

redeemxdSteve smiled at Bucky and clasped his hand on his friends shoulder. "I was only gone for a week Buck. But I missed you too."

“Some sort of energy blast,” Peter muttered, holding onto his shoulder. “It’s not as bad as it looks.”

He knew he shouldn't've fallen in love with Bucky. He knew it and yet it happened. And there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it. Steve had gone to New York, he'd gone to look for his Bucky and the whole damn time he couldn't get this man out of his head. He'd tried. God, had he tried and there he was back in DC, back in this man's apartment because he couldn't get him out of his head. And now he'd done the worst thing he could do and told him that he may have been in love with him. "You think I wanted this?! You think I want to be unable to think of anything but you?!" He snapped back, refusing to let the other man get the better of him. If Bucky really hadn't wanted this he would've stopped what they were doing before now. Except he didn't which had him thinking the other man wanted this almost as much as he did. "I tried. I tried to go to New York and track down those leads. Except my thoughts always came back to you. I may not know you but you don't know me, either." And he wanted that to change. More than anything he wanted that to  change.

   Steve blinked up at his friend and slapped his arm because they were in public. "Bucky! You can't say things like that. How much have you had to drink?"
