The Wolf Guys' reactions to accidentally biting and hurting their mates when playing around while shifted:
David: Ends up not being around them for a few hours, despite Angel repeatedly saying that they were fine.
Their husband, now since shifted back, kept his distance. Just to be on the safe side.
"Davey, c'mon," Angel rolled their eyes then held their arms out wide, "I'm okay, I promise! It'll be sore for a bit but hell, I've been through worse."
That didn't seem to change his worried expression.
They had convinced him to shift, they wanted to blame themself but he wouldn't let them.
He ended up trying to give "love bites," as it's known, nipping at their thigh...
Until they ended up flinching and tugging their leg back. There was some broken skin, a little bit of blood, but it was mainly just bruised.
He instantly shifted back to tend to it, before backing off to give them space.
Took him three hours before he shifted again, walking carefully and slowly up to them, and laying his head on their lap.
Asher: Will not shut up with the apologies.
Ash has been known to roughhouse, it's in his nature being the more rambunctious one.
So when he was bouncing back and forth as Babe held a dog toy — his idea — just out of reach, he went to grab it, they moved it...
And he ended up catching their arm instead.
They had never seen him shift back that fast before, nor have they ever heard him speak that fast, unless he's gone through a few Red Bulls.
"Babe!! I'm so fucking sorry— oh my god oh my god oh my god— I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to!"
"Ash, I'm okay, I swear—"
He already had Marie on speed dial, since he didn't exactly trust his own healing abilities.
Apologized every five minutes... For the next ten hours.
Milo: It's rare, but when he did one time, he never let himself live it down.
In one of their hide and seek games, Sweetheart cloaked and hid up near the dresser.
It was one spot they haven't done before, and because of that, Milo could easily predict where they'd be just by narrowing it down.
Not in the kitchen, like the last time where they hid up on the kitchen island.
The one spot he hadn't checked was by his dresser. That had to be it.
Prowling over, he kept low to try and sneak up on them... Ready to pounce.
He lunged towards the blank space, not realizing how hard he bit down...
Until he heard his mate, and tasted a little blood.
He shifted back as they uncloaked, to see a puncture mark on the side of their hand.
"Holy fucking— Sweetheart, I am so sorry—"
"Baby, I'm fine, it's not your fault you didn't know where to aim—"
"Like hell it ain't my fault! I shouldn't have bit down so hard, I should've aimed more to the left, oh my god..."
He refused to let them heal it themself. He knows a thing or two, his mom has taught him well...
The only difference was, instead of a long lecture, he was apologizing.
Anton: Wanted to die on the spot (he's partially joking)
Love was trying to unpack a few things to get it all organized, they had been at it for hours.
Part of it was they wanted to get the essentials out of boxes before the end of the week... The other part was they wanted everything in exactly the right spot the first time to not go through the hassle of having to redo it.
Anton only wanted to get them away from it to take a break, that's all he wanted to do. He doesn't like seeing his mate overworked... Plus, he wanted some cuddles.
Playing around a little, he shifted to sit next to them and watch them. He would help, he wanted to help, but he knew his mate well enough to not get in the way of whatever they were doing.
His head moved as they did, wolf eyes watching them go back and forth with curiosity... Waiting for the perfect moment to enact his plan.
As they went to dig a few ladles from a box, he ducked his head in and picked one up between his jaws, sitting there with his tail wagging until they noticed.
He tilted his head as if he didn't understand.
"Babe... Drop the ladle. I need to put this stuff away."
He dropped down into a playful stance before taking off around the new place.
His mate chased after him as he weaved between the furniture. It had become a bit of a maze, set down to figure out the layout later.
His mate attempted to utilize their plants to use their magic and trap him, but he dodged every vine that came his way.
They ended up going over the couch to get it away from him, yanking it from his grasp.
He went for it again just as they moved, clamping onto their hip instead of the utensil in their hand.
They flinched back and Anton felt his heart drop.
He was shifted back within the second, "Love—! I— I did not mean to— are... are you alright?"
"I'm okay, baby, I promise," they reassured as they checked on where the stinging was coming from. A graze mark from his canine, a smidge of blood but not really all that serious.
But to Anton, he wanted to crawl through the floor.
For the next few hours, he spent his time shifted following them around like a lost puppy. Whining, looking pitiful. Every time he saw the now bandaged spot when they'd stretch up to put something in the overhead cabinets, the whining got louder as he sunk down to the floor, ears plastered down in guilt.
