This beautiful Red Tailed Hawk is sniffing around our chicken yard. We have various methods of protecting them. They were behind fencing during this encounter and we do not let them free range, too many predators.

One day while I was driving, I saw a lot of commotion among the pigeons and other city birds around this one overpass. As I got closer, I could make out the figure of a larger bird near one wall. Apparently this hawk had made a kill (probably a pigeon) and it fell in the middle of the street. He/she seemed to be waiting for the right opportunity to fly out and recover it.
I just happened to have my camera with me that day and was able to capture some of the scene before I had to move on. Admittedly, these are not good shots, but I think they're not that bad considering I had to take them while stopped at a red light.

Finally got around to getting a Vimeo account and uploading my animations! Though my final is too big so uh... I dunno. I'll figure something out I guess.
Anyway! First animation assignment, cut out. Almost all construction paper, no joints. Photographed with a DSLR into Dragonframe, which is a super cool animation program. Only one week, too. Besides my final, this is the one I like most, I think.
