First time

He’s terrified beyond belief. First of all, why were these cars so cramped ?! Second, who made him sit next to the Black Widow , aka the most sexy deadly assassin in the whole world ?! Third, what was she even doing there ?! Were these unofficial Avenger road trips ?! Okay Peter, don’t speak, don’t breathe, don’t draw attention to yourself, as long as you don’t draw her attention, you should be fine...

Second Time:

 He is-- slightly less terrified this time around. Oh, he is low-key pooping his pants, but at least manages to give short answers to questions, even lets out an awkward laugh once or twice ! He keeps eying her with the corner of his eye, though, just to see what she was doing. She seemed--calm ? Relaxed ? Humored, even. 

Third Time: 

This time, he is starting to suspect Tony is purposefully making him sit next to Natasha, maybe scaring the crap out of a teenager was funny to him ? He actually manages to talk to her this time around. Nothing too much, just a simple ‘ hey ‘ and occasional exchanges. Speaking to her, she didn’t seem all that scary. 

But then again, he had heard of stories of her singe-handedly taking down a warehouse, so he was going to keep his distance.

Fourth Time:

He makes her laugh this time ! It’s a terrible pun, he knows it, heck she even knows it, but she laughs nonetheless. Which actually takes a huge weight off his shoulders, makes him feel more relaxed, causing him to talk and quip more for the rest of the trip.

Fifth Time:

natasha is less paranoid than you, congratulations <3
