Rufous-sided Sticky Frog a.k.a. Black-spotted Sticky Frog (Kalophrynus pleurostigma), red morph
Picture and text by Vince_Adam Photography: “The reason I photographed this frog is to share this beautiful story of survival. I admired its fighting spirit, although its movement is crippled by its handicap either by birth or bitten by a predator, it continues to overcome whatever obstacles life throws at it. BRAVO!!!
Species info: This is a frog species with a black spot on its body, some have beautiful patterns on their backs. I have seen two morphs, colored either yellow (more common) or red. It releases a sticky substance when threatened, thereby making it an unpleasant meal for predators, allowing it to escape unharmed. Location: Malaysia”
