#red lantern

After watching the superman movie and seeing Guy Gardner being the wonderful jerk I know him as. I had the urge to watch some Green lantern stuff so I watched "Green Lantern the animated series" and... Wow

Dex-Starr who finally got justice for his owner's killer is no longer angry and no longer sustained by the red lantern ring. Danny taking the ghost kitty into his arms as he follows his gut through the Infinite Realms to find the kitty's owner. When he sees the little cottage he doesn't stay for the reunion knowing he will bawl his eyes out, but the next time Cujo drops by for a visit there is a cat with him and the cat helps reign in the excitable pup.

If we make it deadtired I think Dex-Starr could become a blue lantern because of Tim. He is hopeful he will be able to enjoy time with this new human. He is better able to protect him and when he meets with his previous owner he can tell her how good of a kitty he was. Tim is an animal whisperer so that's why Tim was specifically chosen for the blue lantern Dex-Starr route.

Danny: [confused, looking at glowing purple Lanterns] So… you guys are all about compassion? Indigo-1: It is a power most misunderstood but deeply effective. Danny: That’s cool and all, but how do you fight with compassion? Hug people into submission? Indigo-1: [smiles serenely] Something like that. Danny: [turns to Hal] Okay, this one might be too wholesome for me.

[Danny Accidentally Meets Larfleeze, the Orange Lantern of Avarice]

Larfleeze: [hissing, clutching his orange ring] MINE! Danny: Whoa, chill, Tangerine Nightmare. I don’t even want your ring. Larfleeze: [growling] Everything you want belongs to me! Danny: [grinning mischievously] Oh, really? Then I totally want a pet ghost dragon. Larfleeze: [pauses, conflicted] …I don’t have one of those. Danny: [floating off] Thought so. Later!

Star Sapphire (Carol Ferris): Love is the most powerful force in the universe. Danny: [grimacing] I dunno about that. Love’s more Sam’s thing. Star Sapphire: And what drives you, young one? Danny: Mostly snacks and spite. Does that count? Star Sapphire: …We’ll work on that.
