Lyra doesn't know if it's because she spent too much time in the cold during the past week or if it's because of all the stress and drama occurring around the house or just both. Whatever one it is, she's finding herself coughing and feeling under the weather -- her mind is somewhere else completely and she can barely keep her eyes open. Everything feels stuffy and her body is tired and heavy. She's sluggish in her movements as she gets out of bed and tries to make her way to the door, only to collapse.

But she realizes that for the past while, she hasn't been the cheerful and bubbly person people have gotten to know. It's hard to become that person again though because her body feels tired, her mind feels tired. She can't find the strength to exude that positive energy.
