DIY Vases. These vases take a little time, but they barely cost a dime! All you need to make these rustic looking vases is: washed and recycled glass jars (I saved some old tomato sauce jars), spray paint, scrissors, hot glue, a piece of felt, and some ribbon. You also will want some old newspaper or card board to spray paint the jars on outside. Step one: use the hot glue to make a word, design, or image on the glass jar. Let it dry completely before going to step two. Step two: go outside and spray paint the whole jar. Let the paint dry completely before bringing the jar back inside. Step three: take the felt and cut out a shape that fits the bottom of the jar. Hot glue the shape to the bottom of the jar. This creates a coaster-like protector on the bottom of the jar from spray paint rubbing onto the furniture when you place the jar in your home. Step four: take ribbon and wrap it around the top of the jar and use hot glue to hold it in place. Then, if you desire to have a bow as mine do, make an unattached bow out of the ribbon and then hot glue it to the front of the jar. Now, you have made your very own DIY Vase!
