#recursive thinking

"To think recursively means to address a problem by assuming that similar problems of a smaller nature have already been solved and figuring out how to put those solutions together to solve the larger problem".

This text is from the book, "Discrete Mathematics", by Susanna Epps. It's really less a book about math, per se, than an effort to get its readers to think about how to solve problems.

I recommend it highly [you can find it free online, I did] for anyone to improve their problem solving skills [my motivation]. Solving problems leads to confidence; what could be more useful than that?

Dan's phone went off at 3:30 AM because someone was robbing his store, so he had to go to work before it was even light outside and control the situation as best as he could. He came home exhausted around 1:00 pm and crashed on the sofa. My poor boy.

I'm just really frustrated with people today. Why do people have to be such assholes? I mean, yeah, people are assholes. It happens. Normally I can swallow that bitter pill and move on, but today? Nope. Hypersensitive Jame is hypertensive. 

I tried to write today: ended up in a sob-fit because my own emotions are overwhelming me. I tried drawing, but my hand hurts. I tried looking at kittens and bunnies, but that only lasts so long. And to hell with anyone who says they're Aspie and aren't. You don't want to know what this feels like.
