Sun Ra - Lanquidity I've finally own a little by of Sun Ra, hoping to grow my collection asap. Not anything particularly rare, but definitely one of my favourites. Lanquidity is a great start for those unfamiliar with Ra's extremely daunting discography. A lot could be said about Sun Ra, some points of interest: he was born on Saturn, the Sun Ra Repatriation Program is attempting to use interplanetary communication to bring Ra back to earth. Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation. On the topic of certified classic records... The first time I heard Daydream Nation I listened to Teenage Riot five times in a row before I could move on to the rest of the album. There's a deep magic to that track that I can't quite articulate. Something in that riff and those drums. The band Eric's Trip gets their name from the song "Eric's Trip" on this album. The cover, which I thought was a photo for a long time is a Gerhard Richter painting called "Kerze." This album is preserved in the National Recording Registry in the US Library of Congress.
