I'M SO ALIVE I PROOOMISE !!! part of my prolonged absence is real-life stuff and part of it is me trying to pick up writing my own standalone novel. none of which is going excellently but y'know. the horrors persist and so do i.
i talk a bit about some of playback's inspirations here and i have to double-mention a study of resonance specifically, which is also in my bookmarks and has the hall of fame tag for a reason - it's my all-time favourite fanfic, and a recent reread proves that it holds up even when knowing all the twists and turns it takes.
i suffer the issue of being beholden entirely to my shifting interests, and also being currently locked in on a fandom whose fanfics ... tend to disappoint me more often than not. i just have different ideas of characterization than most people (and also i hate sonadow) so recently i haven't read anything super compelling. i'd turn this around and say people are welcome to offer me fanfic reccs whenever they're inclined! or books! normal books! yall know about books? god willing i'll get the first draft of mine done this year but so far it's not looking too promising.
unfortunately for everyone im kinda a video essay guy above all else.
