I went to the State Capitol yesterday, to support Carmel Foster, the brave woman who trusted me with her story, and to continue to fan the flames to root out corruption. There is so much of it in our local, state, and federal government, and it needs to stop. It begins when we say this and do something. John F. Kennedy said, "If not us, who? If not now, when?” St. Augustine of Hippo many centuries ago understood this. He did not subscribe to any sort of “divine right” of rulers. Nor did he believe that legislation or decrees should pass unquestioned. “An unjust law is no law at all,” he maintained. And I feel the same. #AB5 is an evil law that needs to be abolished, along with other laws and statutes that are borne out of corruption, and not the will of the people. I was instrumental in producing a spark, which lit a fire. We are working on seeing this fire blaze and burn out corruption in our government and our laws.
