Cooking... Who knew
I’d never given cooking much serious thought. I’d cooked meals before and enjoyed it, but never considered actually ‘getting into’ cooking. It seemed like a lot of work, and if I messed up it was a waste of food.
Recently I reconsidered. Both because I felt trying something new would help me out of my depression, and because I wanted to contribute to my household as I’m currently staying with my parents. I was pleasantly surprised to find, I have a knack for it and it’s surprisingly creative. I always thought if I experimented it would just suck so you sort of HAD to stick to recipes. And while you do have to a lot of time, unless you understand how ingredients work together (I’m not there yet), but it’s more open ended than I expected.
I’m a beginner, but many of the recipes I have are very easy. Once you do it once or twice it’s amazing how your confidents goes up. Now I’m always looking for an excuse to cook, bake and try something new.
I’ll share my recipes and experiences as I go. I encourage you to try them, because if I can do it... you can do it. Trust me...
Like seriously... I have a natural inability to make rice...
