After Bismuth was denied use of the breaking point, she turned on him in an instant. Of course, it wasn't so surprising to him. Most of the gems he met shared a special moment with him until they turned on him, so he’d been used to it. 

When she threw the chunk of rock towards him, he was thrown off guard. Before he had a chance to catch it or even bubble it, he was smashed between it and the wall. A scream of pain came from him. But he wasn't crushed completely, no. He was a strong hybrid. He may have been half human, but that didn't mean he was weak. 

After a few weeks of that, though, a change came over her.  She was bright-eyed, determined.  Pearl, once again, was a Gem on a mission and nothing was going to stop her.  

 The bubble she needed wasn’t hard to find.  Pearl remembered exactly where they’d released it, and they only had one bismuth there.  Once the bubble was in her hands, she took a moment to look at the rose quartz bubble, then popped it.  When Bismuth reformed, she was ready.  It wasn’t exactly the joyous reunion of last time, but she was certainly happy to see her again.  “Hello, Bismuth.”

the striped gem made it a point to know what gems remained on earth. It was good for knowing who was a friend...

and who was a troublemaker.

She herself was not fond of extreme heat. nor extreme cold. she could last...for a time. should be enough to explore and see if she could meet the owner of the forge.

she kept close to the walls as she crept into the forge. she was barely in, but the gem could already feel the heat emanating from within.

it was only until malachite was well into the forge that she decided it was safe to make her presence known.
