With his day occupied with work, Rod made sure to use the evening to make it up to his roommates-- his children, his babies. Einstein would be the first to greet Rod when he comes home. Heâd already be at the door, tail swinging behind him as the St. Bernard patiently waited for attention. Rod would sit on the floor, allot the time for some cuddles and petting. Soon enough, two similar looking beagles run to them and the neophyte biology teacher would forget about the dayâs exhaustion and mental stress, replaced by the comfort of his pets. Anna and Andy are ahead of themselves, leashes already in their mouths. Einstein would wait for Rod to be ready and leash already by the door, ready to be used.Â
Once the welcome home greetings end, Rod would take all three dogs out for a stroll, maybe get some food before heading home. Today, they walk to the city proper instead of the park. Rod saw a taco store the other day while out for groceries and heâs been wanting to give the place a try!
He lined up to the counter, all three dogs beside him. Theyâre usually well behaved and donât bother other people, so when one of them-- Einstein-- started moving away and approaching stranger, Rod wondered what was up. The St. Bernard was sniffing the leg of a stranger-- no, not a stranger. He looked familiar. Red eyes, an annoyed look on his face... He saw him at Harvest Academy before, at the lounge. One of the teachers that Rod was intimidated by and tried not to cross. So much for precautions...
âCome on, buddy. Donât bother the nice man, we still have to stay in line for the tacos!â His voice was a little weak as he bargained with Einstein, but the dog nudged on the manâs leg and even barked at him. Not in a hostile way, but as if he wanted to play. Einstein... liked him?!
