as a man of techmaturgy / science, jayce does not believe it’d do him or his image any good, believing in superstitions. surely he can see why some folks take comfort in them even if he finds it nonsensical, but born and raised an inventor, an appreciator of logic, he thinks it very crass to think superstitions would have any weight in his life.
he doesn’t look down on cultures that have such aspect to them (e.g.: ionia and their way of dealing with wild magic and beliefs regarding it), since he knows magic is far more common in other lands, but he finds piltovans and to an extent zaunites who believe in it to be quite foolish.
