Ohh good question! As for now, it’s pretty early in their character arcs, though there’s been some significant development from some of them.

Eli had begun to realize from his time around him, what part of his brainwashed upbringing and trauma filtered out any sensitivity and care for others. He was excessively cruel to humans in his past because of his instincts, and because he was trained to behave that way ever since his earliest memories. Now, seven years after a life changing tragedy, he’s beginning to finally think for himself and open up to the idea of caring again. He’s still very cautious about it, but that’s a start.

Warren was originally a throwaway background character from a RP, an empty shell of a character. When I decided to make it into a story, he’s fleshed out a lot since then. He started out as a naive optimist who believed he could jump right into the action and make a difference. Now after going through hell throughout the story, he’s realized how foolish he’s been, and what’s really important is to hold onto what he has; his family, which he was previously afraid of the responsibility of.

Daki was also originally a throwaway character that wasn’t supposed to show up very much, though his reception by @noodle-slurp and our RPs with their character Sam and Daki really helped flesh him out and make me want to implement him more into the story. Like Eli, he became an outcast, though he had an opposite response to it than Eli. While Eli isolated himself for seven years, Daki yearned for connection. He sees Lexie as his second chance to do his job right this time. He is loyal to the end, and his tragedy only strengthened this part of him.

Rebeka went through a lot more of a change than some of the others. She used to be a more stable force in the Pace household who tried to ground the family and keep things in order. Now, she’s met a new tragedy that feels all too familiar to her. Her desire to keep things together becomes a desperation, and almost vengeful force in her. She wants anyone who hurt her family not just to back off, but to suffer, and she can’t rest until they’ve all paid for what they put her and her family through. She doesn’t pull her punches anymore, and a once-healer is now turned almost bloodthirsty.
