Ugh, humans... They always had to be nosey.

Although he didn't see the other's perspectives point of view as well as any other human, he still felt on guard about them. It wasn't really anything done seriously and personally to him but more so... because he had witness a lot of mortals destroy homes of others or hurt other life forms alike. Even going so far as to create things that shouldn't have existed for one reason or another was just as bad in some rights.

But this person alone is just a mere mortal man... a handsome human with those all too familiar eyes of a pure blood khaenri'ah. Although he knew only certain things about the lost nation, he would rather look out for beings that could not defend themselves against others with no voice of their own then to look into someone's origin story.

Never the less, Zuzhou begins to bear his fangs and growl in response but... he finally spoke at last. "I don't care for how you heard or found out about her." He begins, moving one leg back, ready to make run to a different direction at any moment now. "Nor do I need help from you. You humans have caused enough damage already." It looks like he may not explain himself very well... who could blame him though? A human was the one who did this to the poor deer in the first place!

She snorted. "Well, I'm glad you didn't. I wasn't planning on carrying you all the way back just because you had to go and use that form." Sera waved aside, not really minding his arm around her. There was no need to strain himself like this when they could have plenty of fun with his vision and delusion forms. Plus, he'd be out of order for unnecessarily long after; it just wasn't worth it in her eyes.

The kiss that followed, made her blink though. What was that for now? Was he that excited about their match? "Is kissing your comrades a snezhnayan thing or a tartaglia thing?", she teased with a small grin.

It was a good thing that he'd been turned towards the shelves behind the bar counter, with his back facing Jean as she spoke. Otherwise, she'd have seen the way his eyes rolled.

She had finally dropped the 'Sir', but only to replace it with 'Master Diluc'. Not an unusual way to be called, by any means. Most people addressed him that way, in fact. But Jean was not part of 'most people'.

His gut reaction was to think that she was just using the honorific as a disguise for 'Sir'. Her tone was still that of a subordinate speaking to her superior.

Oh, well... Baby steps, like always.

Diluc chose not to voice his grievance this time, though his shoulders betrayed him, dropping ever so slightly along with his silent sigh.

"You've never been good at eavesdropping, you know? I know you're listening." He said, turning back towards her, placing a bottle down on the counter. With his back straight and crossed arms, he made sure to school his features to a mask of complete disinterest.

Biting Blade for any reason in any form is a quick way to get 'railed', likely in a public place, Eden. XD

"You're dragging down my mood by taking Knight business to my tavern." Again. It's almost as if this happens all the time and Diluc picks and chooses when to act annoyed about it. In truth, he's resigned himself to Kaeya and quite a few other Knights treating the Angel's Share as some sort of outside office. At least it means Diluc often overhears talk about such things as patrol schedules that he can use for his own benefit.

It was the same nightmare again... the familiar scenes of a past history he wished he could just forget—and perhaps made him have some pity for the mara-struck in the end. He sat in the carriage, soaking in the silence of the dim light and breathing slowly. Some things were just too hard to forget... 

"Dr. Veritas Ratio of the Intelligentsia Guild, correct?" Argenti hopes that speaking the others full name was acceptable on his approach; if not the Knight of Beauty will use the preferred identification if the doctor corrects him. "You have a truly beautiful mind if the reputation I have heard is from reliable sources... even your reputation as a teacher fascinates me." He added, a slight bow of his head and a hand upon his heart as a former greeting. [ Yeets Dr. Ratio a compliment from Argenti. If he accepts it is on the doc ~ ]

Being addressed so formally is of little consequence to one Dr. Ratio, so he doesn't bother to address it. His attention is much more focused on examining the one approaching him instead. There is... many attributes of this person calling for attention, from his incredibly bright and long red hair, to the ornately decorated plates of armor covering his entire body- save for his head, of course.

It's a rather ironic contrast to the good doctor, whose head is the only feature obscured by his alabaster bust.

𝔖𝔢𝔯𝔞𝔭𝔥𝔦𝔫𝔞 spotted the architect from across the room. Maybe it was his golden hair, maybe it was the aura of frustration that made her approach with a curious smile on her lips. What was it this time?

She opened her mouth already to ask what was up, but he was faster. Closing it again, she turned her attention to the stack of books that was still on the table behind him. Which one of these? Sera took the one laying on the top - The Folio of Foliage II - not exactly material about architecture. Was he designing gardens now, too? She would gladly give her hobby-gardener expertise if he wanted it; in case he was planning to plant something from Natlan. Hmm, maybe she should read up on Sumeru's flora, too.

"Here you go." She handed him the book. "Were you researching plants?", Sera asked, returning his smile when he finally looked at her. One after the other, she passed the other books to him too and watched him put them back into the shelf.

"You're welcome." Canting her head, she looked him up and down. The poor man looked stressed, but what was new? "Do you want to go get a coffee with me? Or go on a stroll? You look like you could need a break... and some sunlight." She wasn't trying to insult him, he just looked tired and pale... Whenever she was stressed out, she would always exhaust herself with sports, followed by a bath in the hot springs; perfect for regulating hormone levels and get rid of unnecessary cortisol. But Sumeru didn't have any hot springs, right? Not as far as she knew.
