Well, until about 1:30/2am on Sunday morning, April’s FIRST Stop volunteering was a very calm and collected affair. I spent much of the early part of the night talking with the guests in Sanctuary, then the rest of the time (until 5am no less) was spent looking after three rather inebriated revellers we had in quick succession. I must have gone through half a pack of gloves dealing with all the vomit! But hey, it’s partly what we’re there for, and even though it was knackering and I didn’t get to bed until 6am it was my first time finishing after 3/3:30am since November so I guess it’s not too bad.
