I love the way Lauren some how magically slips into my life without me even trying. Huddle up kids, L has a story to tell. So two years ago I got this book from a charity shop called Windfall by Jennifer E. Smith. Pretty decent book but not my favourite. Last year I found another one of her books at the same shop. I like browsing charity shops and getting books from there, if you hadn’t noticed. I was a little on the fence about it because Windfall was good but didn’t really catch my attention the way some books have, but in the end I was like, sure, why not? Two weeks ago I started Field Notes On Love to help inspire me in writing these damn stories for uni. Right from the start I loved it so much better then Windfall. It gripped me into the story and the characters. The love story was so amazing without ever feeling rushed or odd. Anyway back to the point, I just finished reading the book, (it made me cry. Why do books have to make me cry and pull at my heart at the end like that?) and when I turned the next page it’s the acknowledgment and guess who’s name I see? Yep, Lauren’s. Like wow. It’s not even a big deal or anything crazy but of all the authors and books I randomly picked and decided to read, it was this one, and one that has a connection to Lauren. Crazy how the world works.
