‘Get everyone out.’ You told Kate, she nodded and then looked at you to see you going towards the centre of the room. ‘What about you?’ She asked, you turned to her, people running past you. ‘Just get them out.’ You said, and she nodded, as she ran of telling them all to go, to leave. She was the last one out, she glanced at you and you, nodded at her as you placed your hands over each other and focussed all the energy into it, the light building and building. Once you were sure everyone was out, you groaned as you released the energy. It going to all the pillars, hitting them and shattering what was left, as you dropped your hands and ran, for the make shift entrance as the building feel behind you. You fell onto the ground, just as the building collapsed, you lowered your head, covering it with your arms as the dust and brick continued falling around you.
‘Everyone made it, thanks to Y/N.’ Kate said, they looked at her and nodded. ‘What do you mean thanks to Y/N?’ Marco asked, he glanced at John as he stopped looking for you and made his way up here. ‘She didn’t make it out.’ Kate told them, she watched as their shoulders feel and disbelief appeared. ‘What?’ John asked, Kate looked at him and frowned. ‘I’m sorry.’ Kate said, she reached out for Johns shoulder, but he shook his head and pulled away. He marched past everyone. ‘John!’ Marco shouted but he ignored the calls and the stares.
‘Y/N.’ Lauren said as she stood in front of you. ‘Hey.’ You said happily, she walked over and welcomed you into a hug. ‘Mum.’ She shouted, and you winced at how loud it was. You saw Kate come over and you smiled at her. ‘Where’s John?’ You asked her, she looked over you, taking you by the arms and leading you to sit down, you looked up at her. ‘He can wait a minute, until this is patched up.’ She said, and she got to work on the cut, that was across your forehead, and the smaller one on your cheek. Once she was done you thanked her and she told you that he was out the back with Marco and Clarice, you stood up and made your way there.
As you stood behind them you stepped forward. ‘I heard I was dead.’ You said as you stood behind John, Clarice and Marco. They turned around quickly and took in your appearance. ‘You’re alive?’ Clarice said, you smiled and nodded. ‘I’d hope so or your dead as well.’ You responded, and it wasn’t long until you were lifted of the ground and John was spinning you around. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, as he placed you down. ‘Kate said you didn’t make it out.’ He said as he pulled back but kept his arms on your neck, one making its way up to the cuts on your face. ‘I just made it out.’ You said, John placed a kiss onto your forehead. ‘but doing so… something happened.’ You said, they looked at you with worry, but you ignored it. ‘What?’ They all asked together, you glanced over them all. ‘I can’t use my powers just now, I’ve burnt them out.’ You said, with that they relaxed and smiled. ‘As long as your safe.’ John said, as he wrapped his arm around you shoulder.
