Concept/idea: Ultra Magnus X reader
I imagine what it must be like to have been close to the real Ultra Magnus, only for him to suddenly stop acting like himself... and eventually stop interacting with you altogether.
Every attempt to reconnect is met by a different personality. Different mannerisms. Different preferences. Different quirks. And it's frustrating. It is. It really is.
It's hard, you know?
It feels like nobody else notices. Then again, Magnus never had many close relationships. (Turns out later I discovered he only had you. *quietly cries in a corner*) Not only did nobody remember who he used to be, they simply didn't care.
Now imagine learning the truth.
Learning that Magnus's body became a literal suit of armor for other robots to pilot.
That your Magnus will never again give you that awkward but genuine squeeze on the shoulder.
That the robot who spent most of his life wearing emotional armor eventually became literal armor.
That all of that, and so much more, has been gone for a very long time.
Magnus is gone.
Can you imagine it?
Imagine if Magnus somehow knew what was happening. If he could see it all, understand it all... and yet be completely unable to do anything about it because he's dead.
He watches as his body becomes this.
He watches as his legacy becomes this.
And sure, he was an enforcer of the law. It was never his place to demand recognition for what he did.
But...
Being forgotten hurt.
Just a little.
*Drops this emotional bomb and mysteriously vanishes.*
